Javier Falcón photographs in Arequipa and the Colca Valley, where the Andes open into terraced canyons and high desert. The region's light — sharp, dry, vertical — runs through some of his most recognizable fashion work.

In the Colca Valley he photographed the campaign for Ayni, the Peruvian knitwear house: crochet and knit pieces on Andean roads, among high-desert cacti, and alongside women of Colca in traditional dress — fashion photographed inside the landscape and the culture it comes from.
