Javier Falcón photographs in Puno and on Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world — the far point of Peru's high plain, where water and sky trade places at dawn.

For Belmond's Andean Explorer, the sleeper train that ends its Andean crossing at the lake, he photographed Titicaca at first light and at sunset: the water like metal at dawn, islands cut against an orange sky. The series belongs to his commissioned work for Belmond across southern Peru.

He takes editorial, advertising and travel commissions in Puno, producing from Lima and pairing the region's extreme light and altitude with an editorial approach.
